Todo Bien — July 21
Todo Bien at UnCommons will hold an exclusive Tequila Talk hosted by The Tequila Collective Founder Rob Gerard from noon to 4 p.m. Attendees will receive samples of Siete Lecuas, El Tesoro, Tequila Ocho, and Don Fulano tequilas; a gift bag with a tote, enamel pin, and sticker pack; and an after-event cocktail. 1228 Main — July 25
1228 Main in the Arts District continues its summer series of themed dinners on the last Thursday of each month. The July event, Barbeque Takeover, features an assortment of barbecued meats and offers seatings at 6:00 and 8:30 p.m., priced at $70 per person.
The menu served family style includes Chopped Salad with bacon, egg, tomato, and blue cheese; Dry Rubbed and Smoked Pulled Pork Butt; Hot Links with jalapeno & cheddar; Dry Rubbed and Smoked St. Louis Style Spare Ribs; Rotisserie Slow Turned BBQ Jidori Chicken with BBQ glaze; Banana Pudding with housemade vanilla wafers and salted dulce de leche; Peach Cobbler with farmer’s market peaches and vanilla ice cream; and accompaniments of sweet & spicy BBQ sauce, Carolina BBQ sauce, house pickles, creamy slaw, jalapeno & cheddar cornbread, BBQ baked beans, creamy mac & cheese, and potato buns.

Las Vegas Pizza Festival — November 16
If pizza is your favorite food group, you’ll want to take note of the 4th annual Las Vegas Pizza Festival. Tickets are now on sale, and although it’s months away, the VIP segment of this event sells out each year, and ticket tier prices go up as sales increase, so it’s time to get the word out.
Held at The Industrial Event Space at 2330 Industrial Road from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., the event offers unlimited samples of Detroit, Sicilian, New York, and a dozen other unique styles of pizza from more than 20 of the city’s finest pizzaiolos.
This year’s lineup includes John Arena (Metro Pizza), Tony Gemignani (Pizza Rock), Ricky Lewis and Ryan Perras (Rebellion Pizza), G. Giovanni Mauro (Old School Pizzeria), Vincent Rotolo (Good Pie), and James Trees (Esther’s Kitchen).
The VIP experience includes one-hour early access at noon and access to the VIP lounge with private air-conditioned VIP restrooms, complimentary beer and wine, a commemorative beer tasting glass, additional culinary bites, and live entertainment.

Scotch 80 Prime Social Hour
Scotch 80 Prime at the Palms Casino Resort displays the culinary brilliance of Executive Chef Mary Lopez. This gifted chef has over two decades of experience working for high-profile Las Vegas restaurants. Scotch 80 Prime has established itself as one of the top steakhouses off the Strip, offering twists and fun ingredients you don’t usually see at a steakhouse.
Its prices are well below those of its nearby Las Vegas Strip neighbors. Now, with its new Social Hour featuring several menu items at an incredibly deep discount, there are more reasons to visit the popular steakhouse.
The Social Hour menu offers 50% off more than a dozen menu items (which happen to be the top-selling items from each category) and discounted prices on several drinks. It’s available Monday through Thursday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and from 8:30 to 10:00 p.m. all summer.
Examples of the half-off menu are Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail with four Oishii Shrimp for $13.50, Steak Tartare with crispy rice and radish ponzu for $13, Shrimp Toast with Hokkaido Milk Bread and chili jam aioli for $13, 8 oz Filet Mignon for $32.50, 8 oz Ribeye Cap for $31, Miso-Glazed Chilean Sea Bass with shiitake mushroom and truffle dashi for $27, New Zealand Big Glory Bay King Salmon with caviar beurre blanc for $26, and Broiled Lobster Tail for $25.
Six original cocktails priced at $8 include the Child’s Play with Evan Williams 1783 Bourbon, Aperol, Amaro Montenegro, and fresh lemon sour; Vaulted Mai Tai with Don Q Gold Rum, Orgeat, Dry Orange Curaçao, fresh lime juice, and dark rum float; and Smoke and Mirrors with Teremana Blanco, Bosscal Mezcal, Giffard Orgeat, and pineapple and lime juice.
Other beverage deals include beers for $4-$4.50, half-off select bottles of wine, and wine by the glass for $12, such as Austin Hope Cabernet and Harvey & Harriet White Blend.

Velveteen Rabbit Hosting Rendezvous
The Downtown Arts District eclectic craft cocktail and beer bar Velveteen Rabbit is making hump day more tolerable with its mid-week Rendezvous event.
Held on Wednesdays from 8 p.m. to midnight, the evening of intimacy is enhanced with sultry jams by local DJ Night Weapons, tarot card readings by Venus Rose Cove, and unique signature cocktails like the house favorite Hibiscus Mezcal Paloma with mezcal, grapefruit, lime, and black lava salt ($14). There is no cover charge, and the tarot card readings are $20 for 10 minutes.
During July, several seasonal cocktails will be offered. The Alchemy Cabinet includes unique creations such as the Teapot with yerba mate gin, espelette pepper liqueur, fresh raspberry, lime, and agave (serves two people for $24). To view the Alchemy Cabinet lineup, click here.
New Smash Burgers at F The Bar
Fergusons Downtown has launched a new smash burger menu at its F The Bar. Four burgers are available:
The Check-In ($7)—single patty, American cheese, onion, mustard, and ketchup. Make it a double +$2; Wander In The Desert ($10)—double patty, American cheese, crispy bacon, and spicey PB&J; Viva Smash Vegas ($9)—double patty, American cheese, French fries, jalapeños, mustard, and spicy ketchup; and The Southern Charmer ($11)—double patty, fried pickles, bacon, sweet potato fries, and spicy BBQ sauce.
Each burger is served with a side of fries and can be upgraded to an Impossible patty with vegan cheese for $1!
Entertainment News
The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower is offering its “Our Locals Deserve This” promotion, featuring discounts at several venues, to Nevada residents who present a valid ID.
The discounts include 50% off Tower & Observation Deck admission and 50% off X-Scream, Big Shot, and SkyJump thrill rides.
The STRAT’s shows are also discounted, with locals receiving a 30% discount to iLuminate, ROUGE, L.A. Comedy Club, and Terry Fator: One Man, a Hundred Voices, a Thousand Laughs. Nevada residents can take advantage of the discount by purchasing tickets directly at the box office.
The rotating Top of the World steakhouse restaurant, with panoramic views across the Las Vegas valley, is extending a $20 discount per guest, with a maximum of $40 off the table’s bill.
Locals with a valid Nevada I.D. can also take advantage of free parking during every visit to The STRAT.
