International Smoke Closing at MGM Grand

MGM Grand has announced that International Smoke will be closing its doors permanently following service on January 19.

The restaurant is a collaboration between celebrity chef Michael Mina and cook/author/TV host Ayesha Curry, which opened in MGM Grand in late December 2019, focusing on the wood-fired cooking techniques of various cultures.

When it opened in MGM Grand, it was the fourth location for the concept. After its closing, San Francisco will be home to the only remaining location. However, Mina will continue operating five other Las Vegas Strip restaurants, including the recently opened Bourbon Steak in The Four Seasons.

The press release announcing the closure had few details beyond the closure date.

It did, however, promise “an exciting new addition to MGM Grand’s culinary portfolio” that “will be shared at a later date.”
