New Restaurant
The team behind Nacho Daddy has opened Glitter Gulch Tiki, a 90-seat swanky tiki lounge in the former Nacho Daddy location at 113 N 4th St., just north of the Fremont Street Experience.
The name pays homage to the historical nickname for downtown Las Vegas and its neon-lit past. The design elements, crafted by renowned tiki bar designer Bamboo Ben and his son Blake Bassham, include a straw-hut covered bar, handcrafted blowfish pendant lights, custom leather and glitter seating, exotic wooden archways emulating the South Pacific islands, and a dance floor and stage for live music.
The tiki drink menu is a collaborative effort by longtime industry veteran General Manager Alfredo Delatorre and his team. Examples of the hand-crafted cocktails are The Old Jamaican with Appleton Estate Signature VX Rum, Clement Mahina Coco Liqueur, Supasawa Sour, and two dashes of Aroma Bitters garnished with coconut flakes and flamed lime peel; and Lili of the Valley Dole Whip, a variation of the famous Dole Whip with Telson Blanco Tequila, coconut cream, lime juice, and passion fruit puree.
The food menu features Coconut Shrimp, Lumpia, Grilled Wings with pineapple BBQ sauce, Kalua Pork Bowl with mixed veggies and teriyaki sauce, Spicy Tuna Tacos with lite firecracker sauce, and Poke Nachos with avocado wasabi and poke sauce on crispy wonton chips.
Glitter Gulch Tiki is open daily from 5 p.m. until late.

Dining News
Chef Michael Vakneen’s Døuble Zerø Pie & Pub combined its first-anniversary celebration with commemorating the recent accolade of placing #45 in the 50 Top Pizza US list (widely regarded as the pinnacle of pizza guides).
Chef Michael is no stranger to significant pizza awards, as he has been named a World Pizza Championship winner on multiple occasions. Renowned for his tremendous creativity and knack for surprising us with his ingenious pairing of ingredients you may not expect to see combined, he has unveiled a new antipasti, pizza creation, and dolce menu item.
The scallop crudo is an inventive combination of calamansi citrus, shoyu, toasted sesame aioli, micro cilantro, and shaved red onion. It is an excellent complement to the crowd favorite Wagyu Carpaccio with nori croutons, whisky barrel-aged fish sauce and matsutake marinated enoki mushrooms.
The new pizza is Salami Rosa with a mortadella and salami hybrid, garlic confit, white sauce, preserved lemons, crushed pistachios, stracciatella, and red pesto enlivened with Calabrian chiles.
If you like cannoli, or even if you don’t, you’ll likely be wowed by the new Døuble Zerø Cannoli, a deconstructed version layered like a thin cake with sweet delights such as pistachio mascarpone and a house-made crispy almond shell that shatters like glass when broken to mix in wonderfully with the other ingredients.
Major congrats to Chef Michael and Døuble Zerø on their first anniversary and on achieving such impressive recognition for the artisanal pizzeria’s excellence in such a short amount of time.
Bottiglia Cucina & Enoteca at Green Valley Ranch offers a Date Night deal on Mondays. For $65, couples can get a three-course meal for two and 50% off specialty cocktails and bottles of wine.

Bottiglia’s website lists the menu for several weeks out. Visit www.bottiglialv.com/menus/#date-night-menu
