Celebrate Thanksgiving in Las Vegas

Who doesn’t love a huge Thanksgiving dinner with turkey, dressing and a dozen other dishes? But who has the time, energy and expertise to successfully cook turkey, dressing and a dozen other dishes?

If you love the former but hate the latter, have no fear. NeonNews has five of our favorite restaurants offering take-home Thanksgiving feasts, plus one bonus offering.

Table 34
600 E. Warm Spring Road #180 | 702-263-0034 | website

Co-owner Constantin Alexander usually closes the upscale American restaurant on East Warms Springs Road on Thanksgiving, but that changed last year.

“We decided we wanted to try to do ready-made, freshly made Thanksgiving take-home for our guests,” Alexander said. “We would prepare everything for them, put them in oven-safe containers, put instructions on them, and people can come [to] pick them up and just warm it up at home and have a
fantastic Thanksgiving dinner. And we did it last year, … and it was a huge hit.”

Alexander and Chef Joe Valdez are expanding the offerings this year, priced at $45 per person, with a minimum order of two.

That gets you sliced turkey breast, mashed potatoes, crispy stuffing squares, shaved Brussels sprouts with bacon, cream spinach, some Parker rolls, cranberry sauce and gravy.

For another $25, you can score a freshly made pumpkin pie. Order by Tuesday the 26th because the supply was sold out last year.

Barry’s Downtown Prime
8 Fremont St. | 702-726-5504 | website

It’s a three-day feast at the elegant steakhouse inside Circa in downtown Las Vegas, according to owner-chef Barry Dakake.

“You place your order online, and we do your Thanksgiving meal for you the day before, and then [we do] the Thanksgiving meal the day after. It’s called Thanksgiving Leftovers, but [it will be] fresh,” Dakake said.

Barry’s will also serve a full Thanksgiving dinner in the restaurant between the two take-out events.
“You get the turkey breast. You get the turkey leg. And then you get the mashed potatoes, the stuffing, the fresh cranberry, the giblet gravy.”

If turkey isn’t your thing, Barry’s offers prime rib. And the whole thing finishes with Barry’s own pumpkin cheesecake.

The timeline is tight for this one, as the deadline for orders is Thursday the 21st. The price is $85 per person, with a two-person minimum.

Big B’s Texas Barbecue
3019 Saint Rose Pkwy., Suite 130, Henderson | 702-260-6327 | website

Owner Brian Buechner is offering both in-house and takeout for Thanksgiving.

“We have two packages. Of course, all our other meats will be on the menu. You can order that by the pound if you want family style for pickup,” he said.

Instead of a per-person charge, Buechner is going big – and small. “The “Little B’s” package is $155, and the larger package is $289.”

Each package contains a turkey breast, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, pie, sauces, plates and everything else you need. The small package is good for four to six people, while the larger package can feed up to 10 people.

“You could put the orders in all the way up to the day before Thanksgiving. We need 24 hours to make sure we are able to cook,” said Buechner.

There is one exception: if you want a pecan or pumpkin pie, order by Monday.

Basilico Ristorante Italiano
6111 S Buffalo Dr. Suite 100 | 702-534-7716 | website

For an Italian spin on the American holiday, Chef Francesco DiCaudo has you covered. The restaurant will be open on Thanksgiving Day and offers a takeout option.

“For those people who like to spend time with family at home, we’re taking care of the dinner or lunch for you,” DiCaudo said.

“We have a preset menu with four courses, $75 per person, and we are open from noon to 8 p.m.

There will be two appetizers: a winter salad [and] carpaccio,” he added. After lobster cappuccino as the second course, DiCaudo has a very special main course in the restaurant. “Chocolate bucatini, flavored with chocolate and served with butternut squash and beluga lentils.”

There will also be roast turkey with all the sides, followed by desserts that include white chocolate tiramisu and Sicilian cannoli. “Just to remind everybody I’m Sicilian,” he added.

The $320 take-out menu includes salad, the Basilico carpaccio, half a tray of lasagna, spinach and ricotta ravioli with Pomodoro sauce, and a whole roasted turkey between 12 and 14 pounds. Along for the ride: truffle mashed potatoes, brussels sprouts, cranberry sauce, Castelvetrano olives, and
pumpkin tiramisu.

Echo & Rig
440 Rampart Boulevard, Suite 120 | 702-489-3525 | website

Chef Sam Marvin is shining a very bright spotlight on the star of Thanksgiving: the turkey. He buys them from Diesel Family Ranch in Sonora, California.

“It’s the fifth generation of turkey farmers,” said Marvin. “The kids, the grandkids, the great grandkids… they’re walking around the farm literally feeding the turkeys; tossing the food, walking with them. It’s just
amazing! It’s probably for me the one of the best turkeys you could ever eat,” he added.

Marvin’s recipe calls for stuffing the bird with onions, oranges and vegetables. It’s then coated with butter, herbs and seasonings. Thanks to detailed instructions accompanying the bird, you will roast the prepared turkey at home.

The takeout menu will also include bread stuffing, sweet potato yams with marshmallows and maple, roasted autumn vegetables, Parker house rolls, mashed potatoes, butternut squash soup, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie.

The price is $265 for the 15-pound bird and the supporting cast that can easily feed six to eight people.

“We make it really easy for the family at home that wants homemade but… doesn’t want to (or) maybe can’t do all the stuff,” Marvin said.

There is an ultra-tight deadline for ordering. “When we hit our 400 turkeys, we’re done,” said Marvin – noting that, when we conducted this interview last year, they had already sold about 300
dinners.

Echo & Rig has two locations, but the takeout Thanksgiving dinner will be available only at the Tivoli Village location.
