New Restaurant: Havana 1957 and Cortadito Coffee House

Havana 1957 is now open at Flamingo Las Vegas and is looking to transport guests back in time to the culture, cuisine, and nightlife of 1950s Havana through its authentic Cuban food, drinks, and entertainment. The new Las Vegas location joins five other portfolio properties in Miami.

Situated off of the casino, just past Bugsy & Meyer’s, the space accommodates 252 seats across 3,998 square feet, with a large bar, a main dining area featuring a central stage for live dancers and musical performances, a VIP lounge and private dining rooms, and a café bar serving Cuban coffee. The nostalgic Cuban décor features memorabilia, wicker-backed chairs, hardwood flooring, red tile, wallpaper with tropical plants and palm trees, vintage photographs, and a red and lime green color scheme.

Offering breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night fare, the menu is a tour of Cuban flavors, with traditional dishes like Ropa Vieja (empanadas) and Croquetas (choices of chicken and ham and cheese and cod); Cubano Sandwich with Nueske’s smoked ham, roasted pork, Swiss cheese, dill pickles, and Dijon mustard in pressed Cuban bread; and classic American breakfast favorites with Cuban flair such as 1957 Benedict with ham and roasted pork, Swiss cheese, griddled Cuban toast, poached eggs, Dijon hollandaise, and pickles served with breakfast potatoes.

Signature dishes include a classic Pollo Havana 1957, a Cuban family recipe of roasted chicken marinated in-house in a Cuban gravy, and a Cuban Burger done the Havana 1957 way—an 8 oz ground beef patty topped with pulled pork, ham, Swiss cheese, pickles, and mustard served in a sesame bun.

With a focus on craft cocktails, the Mojito Bar boasts over 120 varieties of rum, serving iconic drinks like the Mojito and Cuba Libre and signature cocktails including the Cuban Mule with Smoke Lab Vodka, two slices of cucumber, sugar, ginger beer, dehydrated lemon, lime, cilantro leaves, and mint; and New Fashioned with Zacapa 23 Rum, smoked bitter drops, orange peel, and black cherry.

Located within the restaurant is Cortadito Coffee House, offering Cuban and American classic coffee favorites like cortadito, café con leche, and lattes, paired with Cuban specialties such as pastelitos, croquetas, pan con tortilla, croissants, avocado toasts, and breakfast sandwiches.

Havana 1957’s nightly entertainment returns to the golden era of Cuban culture. The show includes traditional sounds of 1950s Cuba, inspiration from the Buena Vista Social Club, and iconic sounds from Gloria Estefan, Miami Sound Machine, and the legendary Celia Cruz.
