Labor Day traditionally signals the end of summer and firing up the grill for backyard parties. But if you’d rather have someone cook your BBQ for you, here’s a handy list of eateries across Southern Nevada offering both dine-in and takeout options for the holiday weekend.
The Strip
The Fontainebleau is offering The Taste of Fontainebleau: three-course prix fixe menus at prices ranging from $40-$85 for select 90 minutes of service through September 5.
The prix fixe deals are being offered at eight of the resort’s restaurants: Don’s Prime, Chyna Club, Komodo, KYU, La Fontaine, The Tavern, Vida, and Washing Potato.
In addition, through Labor Day, guests can validate their valet ticket for free valet when dining at any of the resort’s restaurants, bars, or lounges.

CRUSH American Grill at MGM Grand has seasonal cocktails, including the classic summer Sangria made with red or white wine and St. Remy V.S.O.P Brandy along with a mix of seasonal fruits, available as a single order priced at $20 or family-style for $99. The grill will also offer its wood-fired signature Italian Sausage Pizza doused with pepperoncini and roasted red peppers for $25; Heirloom Tomato Salad dressed with burrata cheese, pesto, and a balsamic glaze for $16; and Grilled Salmon served over beech mushrooms and a carrot miso broth for $41.
Proper Bar within the Proper Eats Food Hall at ARIA will help celebrate the end of summer by offering bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Marys for $21 from Saturday, Aug. 31 through Monday, Sept. 2. Guests must be seated within Proper Bar to claim this special and are limited to two hours.
STK Steakhouse at The Cosmopolitan will offer 50% off food for military personnel, first responders, and teachers from Friday, Aug. 30 to Monday, Sept. 2.
Jaleo by José Andrés Group at The Cosmopolitan is offering a special menu in celebration of La Tomatina, the famed annual festival in Buñol, Spain, where participants throw tomatoes at each other.
Available from Monday, Aug. 26 through Sunday, Sept. 8, the menu includes:
- Tomate Verde Frito—fried green tomatoes with Mamá Marisa blue cheese and px reduction
- Lomo de Buey con Tomates y Piparra—10-oz Creekstone Farms Prime striploin with heirloom tomatoes and piparra peppers
- Coca con Tomates—pan de cristal with heirloom tomato, kalamata olive, piquillo puree, piparras, and conserved tuna
- Albondigas con Tomate—Ibérico meatballs with tomato sauce, Pasamontes Manchego cheese, and chives
- Tortilla de Patatas con Tomates Confitados—Spanish omelet with confit tomatoes, idiazabal cheese, and chives
- Bizocho de Aceite de Olivo con Sorbete de Tomate—olive oil sponge cake with tomato sorbet and yogurt espuma.
North Strip
The STRAT
The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower will offer Labor Day weekend dishes and drinks at its restaurants, bars, and lounges from Friday, Aug. 31 to Monday, Sept. 2.
Top of the World will feature its Summer Sparkler cocktail with Grey Goose Essences strawberry and lemongrass vodka, Amaro Nonino, lemon, strawberry, and Fever Tree sparkling cucumber for $21; a starter of Fried Green Tomatoes with crab and shrimp étouffée and hot sauce beurre blanc for $22; and an entrée of Smoked Huli-Huli Chicken with marinated bone-in chicken thigh, caramelized sweet plantains, and orange vinaigrette for $48.
Featured specials at McCall’s Heartland Grill will include the Golden Hour cocktail with Tanqueray Sevilla orange gin, Chinola passion fruit liqueur, Italicus Bergamot, yuzu, and Vanilla Dram for $18; the Surf and Turf entrée featuring Jacks Creek Australian Wagyu tri tip, grilled shrimp, garlic and herb roasted red potatoes, and a barbecue grilled vegetable skewer for $52; and the cast iron skillet Chocolate Chunk Cookie with house-made vanilla ice cream for $12.
Off The Strip
Joel’s Chophouse at the Ahern Hotel already has one of the city’s best steak deals: Tomahawk Tuesday for a 44 oz Westholme Australian Wagyu Tomahawk Ribeye with side dish (Chef’s choice) for $149 ($100 off the regular price). The deal will be offered daily during Labor Day weekend from Aug. 27-31.
Sammy’s Island at Palms Casino Resort will offer Labor Day Weekend poolside programming bolstered by music, food, and Hagar’s premium spirits including Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum, Santo Tequila, Sammy’s canned cocktails, and Red Rocker Lager.
From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30, “Ladies First,” hosted by DJ Jenna Palmer will feature cabana specials, free champagne from 10 a.m. to noon and special $59 Rosé packages.
From 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31, Sammy’s Island will host a free Trojan pep rally featuring USC’s Marching Band ahead of their Vegas match-up against LSU on Sunday, Sept. 1, for which Sammy’s Island will also host a ticketed viewing party for the game from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The pool will close out the holiday weekend with its “Swimdustry Mondays” programming on Monday, Sept. 2 with the help of DJ JD, complimentary cabanas and beer for Nevada locals, and specials on Don Julio and Ketel One. Find full programming, reservations and more here.
Summerlin

Grape Vine Café, Wine Bar & Cellar at W Lake Mead will be open on Labor Day, Sept. 2, from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Throughout the day bottles of wine be offered for $15 off and Labor Day menu specials will include Blackened Ahi Tuna, Bruschetta with fig, goat cheese, and pistachio, Rustic Seabass Salad with beets and strawberries, and Pan Seared Branzino.
Southwest Las Vegas
If you want to enjoy your BBQ at home, the newly opened Honor BBQ at Blue Diamond and Buffalo is an excellent option with its catering menu for parties of 10+. Four options are offered: The Rebel with combo of 2 meats, 2 sauces, bread & pickles for $12 per person; The Volunteer with choice of 2 meats, 3 sides, bread & pickles and 2 sauces for $15 per person; The Johnny with combo of 3 meats, 3 sides, bread & pickles and all 3 sauces for $18 per person; and Sandwich Party with choice of 2 sandwich types, 2 sides and 2 sauces. Sgrizzi by Chef Marc at Blue Diamond and Rainbow will have several Labor Day specials from Aug. 31 through Sept. 1. Available in the bar from 5 to 7 p.m., the deals are 50% off Caprese Salad, 50% off Beef Tartare and $10 martinis.
Bel-Aire Backyard at Durango Casino & Resort invites locals to celebrate the start of Labor Day weekend with a taste of Hawaii at their second “Sunset Luau” starting at 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30. The backyard oasis is partnering with Ai Pono Cafe to throw the ultimate luau featuring a DJ set from DJ A.D., a performance by local Las Vegas Reggae group The Majority, and a live pig roast.
Specialty menu items for the celebration include Garlic Butter Mahi Mahi ($19); Guava Chili Pepper Fried Chicken, fried bone-in chicken thighs dipped in ‘Ai Pono original guava chili pepper glaze ($17); Village Chili Frank Bowl, Chef Villatora’s signature chili with fresh cooked hot dogs ($15); Beef Tomato Bowl ($16); Spam Musubi ($3); Roast Pork Bahn Mi ($15); and the Spiked Punch, a tropical and citrusy cocktail made with Mt.
