D’Agostino’s may soon be coming to Boca Park. While no deals have been signed, and absolutely nothing has been finalized, sources close to the owners of the intimate D’Agostino’s Trattoria tell us they’re eying the old Chinglish space.
Owners Dan and Brandi Thomson are reportedly hoping to convert the Chinglish Cantonese Wine Bar into a second D’Agostino’s location, with, perhaps, a slightly different name.
Located near the Spanish Trail neighborhood, D’Agostino’s has been serving Las Vegas’ movers and shakers since The Thompsons purchased the restaurant (formerly called Café Chloe) in 2018. It’s known for elevated interpretations of classic Italian-American recipes (Bolognese, Alfredo, Aglio e Olio, Piccata, Marsala, Parmigiana and Francese are all on the menu), and a carefully curated wine list. And on any given evening, you’ll likely find an assortment of casino owners and executives, Strip chefs, and local power brokers scattered among the restaurant’s 14 tables.
The new location that’s reportedly caught their attention is a large, indoor-outdoor space in the southeast corner of the Boca Park complex. From 2020 through last month, it was home to Chinglish Cantonese Wine Bar. We’re told that if D’Agostino’s can secure the space, Chef Dan is hoping to expand the menu to include more inventive recipes and more steaks, seafood and chops.
We’ll let you know when we hear more concrete about the plan.
